IT-Computer Sciences

Azad State of Jammu & Kashmir with the total area of 13297sq Km. Total population of this area is 2.9million.The literacy rate of this area is 78% and the other side the employment rate is 30-40 percent. The reason of low employment rate is just due to lack of professional skills. If we want to compete with modern world we have to improve our education standard and According to the potential beneficiaries computer education is most important for any generation. Before the Earthquake, there was only seven institutes in private sector for Computer Training and one in the Govt. Sector after the earthquake, five institutions from the private sector were totally demolished, the remaining two are also not functioning at the present time. There is currently no Computer Training institute here in Muzaffarabad. We have many bright students with great potential, if they want to continue their IT studies, they have to go Islamabad or other cities, but the majority of the students cannot afford the travel and housing costs. In these circumstances majority of the student cannot continue their studies and we think that just because of that the unemployment rate is going higher. In Muzaffarabad we got the dial up net connection facility in 2000 and the net speed is 46 kbps. If we see on the other side that the people those who are living in Islamabad they have the facility of DSL, ADSL, ISDN etc. This is the major factor of the difference between fast and low speed net facility.

There are also many online education centers in Islamabad and Lahore from where they can get the online degrees just like CCNA, +A, PGDIT etc. But here in Muzaffarabad if any one want to get admission in these online courses he have to get admission in Islamabad or Lahore and the majority of the community can’t afford the expenses of education in Islamabad or Lahore.

KCT want to provide all these facilities here in their own city and for that we welcome to any one who want to contribute for backing up the generation.
